Roamaya is built on trust, respect, and a shared love for conscious travel. These Community Guidelines establish the standards of behavior expected from all users — Travelers, Hosts, and Planners — to maintain a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
1. Core Principles
- Respect: Treat all community members with dignity regardless of background, gender, religion, caste, or orientation.
- Honesty: Represent yourself and your offerings truthfully. No fake profiles, inflated claims, or deceptive practices.
- Safety: Prioritize the physical and emotional safety of all participants.
- Sustainability: Travel responsibly. Respect local ecosystems, cultures, and communities.
- Accountability: Own your actions and their impact on others.
2. For All Users
2.1 Communication Standards
- Be courteous and professional in all messages and interactions.
- Do not use abusive, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory language.
- Do not harass, stalk, or intimidate other users.
- Do not share others' personal information without consent.
- Use the platform messaging system for trip-related communication (do not share personal phone numbers or emails to circumvent the platform).
2.2 Content Standards
- Do not upload sexually explicit, violent, or graphic content.
- Do not post content promoting illegal activities, substance abuse, or dangerous behavior.
- Do not post spam, advertisements for unrelated services, or promotional content.
- Reviews must be based on genuine experiences — do not post fake reviews (positive or negative).
- Do not upload copyrighted content belonging to others without permission.
2.3 Account Integrity
- One person, one account. Multiple accounts are not permitted without prior authorization.
- Do not share your login credentials with others.
- Do not create accounts using false identities.
- Do not buy, sell, or transfer accounts.
3. For Travelers
- Follow trip rules: Adhere to safety instructions, meetup times, and guidelines provided by your Host.
- Respect the group: Travel is a shared experience. Be considerate of fellow travelers' comfort and boundaries.
- Cultural sensitivity: Respect local customs, dress codes, religious practices, and traditions at destinations.
- Environmental responsibility: No littering, plastic dumping, or damage to natural sites. Leave no trace.
- Substance use: Do not consume illegal substances. Alcohol consumption should not impair the group experience or safety.
- No harassment: Sexual harassment, unwanted advances, or inappropriate behavior towards fellow travelers, hosts, or locals will result in immediate removal and account ban.
- Honest reviews: Share constructive feedback. Do not use reviews as threats or leverage for unwarranted refunds.
4. For Hosts & Planners
- Accurate listings: Trip descriptions, images, inclusions, and pricing must accurately reflect the experience delivered.
- Safety first: Provide appropriate safety equipment, emergency contacts, first-aid kits, and trained guides for adventure activities.
- Professional conduct: Maintain professional boundaries with travelers at all times.
- Non-discrimination: Do not refuse service based on gender, religion, caste, race, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
- Transparency: Communicate any trip changes, cancellations, or issues to travelers promptly.
- Responsive communication: Respond to traveler messages within a reasonable timeframe (ideally within 24 hours).
- Legal compliance: Maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance. Comply with local laws and regulations.
- No solicitation: Do not solicit travelers for off-platform bookings, direct payments, or competing services.
- Respect privacy: Handle traveler personal information (names, phone numbers, documents) with care and only use it for trip coordination.
5. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action:
- Any form of sexual harassment, assault, or exploitation.
- Theft, fraud, or financial scams.
- Threats of violence or actual physical harm.
- Discrimination based on protected characteristics.
- Promotion of extremist ideologies or hate groups.
- Drug trafficking or promotion of illegal substance use.
- Exploitation of minors in any capacity.
- Operating unlicensed or unsafe vehicles/equipment.
- Price manipulation or bait-and-switch tactics.
- Soliciting or offering bribes to platform staff.
6. Reporting Violations
- Report guideline violations through the support ticket system or by emailing roamayaofficial@gmail.com.
- Include specific details: dates, user involved, evidence (screenshots, photos), and description of the incident.
- Reports are reviewed confidentially. Your identity will be protected during investigation.
- Frivolous or malicious reports may result in action against the reporter.
7. Enforcement & Consequences
Violations are handled proportionally based on severity:

- Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days. The decision is final.
